My Background

I've spent years managing the finances for businesses across industries, from construction to e-commerce, from early-stage startups to companies doing $20M+ in revenue. The pattern is always the same. Talented founders and operators held back by messy books, unclear margins, and financial blind spots they don't even know they have.

Before starting FTBCG, I worked in roles that sat at the intersection of finance and operations. That means I don't just understand the numbers. I understand the business context behind them. When a margin drops 3 points, I don't just flag it. I dig into whether it's a pricing issue, a supplier change, a product mix shift, or an operational inefficiency. The "why" matters more than the "what."

I work with businesses in the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom. I'm comfortable with both US GAAP and IFRS, so whether your business operates under one standard or needs reporting that bridges both, I can handle it.

How I Work

My approach is straightforward. I don't just clean up your numbers. I make them work for you. Every engagement starts with understanding where you are, where you want to go, and what's standing in the way. Sometimes that means untangling years of backlog. Sometimes it means building reporting you'll actually use. Sometimes it means sitting beside you as a strategic financial partner while you navigate a fundraise, an acquisition, or a market expansion.

For fractional CFO engagements, I work with a small number of clients at a time. Real strategic impact requires real attention, and every client gets hands-on involvement from me personally.

I'm also a big believer in building systems that don't need me forever. The goal is to put financial infrastructure in place that gives you clarity on an ongoing basis, whether I'm involved month to month or not. If you outgrow me, that's a success, not a loss.

I work with the tools your business already runs on. That includes Xero, QuickBooks, Bill.com, Ramp, Rippling, Gusto, Dext, Zoho Inventory, Cin7, Fathom, Cashflow Frog, Karbon, Stripe, Shopify, and Float. If you're on a platform I haven't listed, chances are I've used it before.
